Harold Cohn

Harold Cohn’s recognizable style conveyed an undeniable emotive quality. Cohn is known for a variety work, sometimes reminiscent of cubism, some more similar to that of Matisse. He began showing his art in his hometown of Detroit at only 22 years old, and was a significant presence in Detroit’s Jewish community. His varied subject matter included figures, landscapes, nautical scenes, and the circus.

Died 1982
