Irving Amen
Irving Amen was a prodigy, earning a scholarship to the prestigious Pratt Institute at only fourteen. He was heavily inspired by his many travels and his Jewish faith. Amen had solo exhibitions at several major institutions and operated his own gallery in New York’s Upper East Side. He was commissioned to design a Peace Medal for the Vietnam War and stained glass windows for the Agudas Achim Synagogue. Irving later taught at Pratt and at the University of Notre Dame.
